Word Game Word: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Suddenly I woke up. Under the bright light. Perhaps I was dreaming, I thought. Except, that stabbing pain in my back was too real to be a dream.
Really squinting hard I tried to see. Candy striped clouds? Absolutely not! Life couldn't be that simple. In Alice in Wonderland, maybe. Far be it for me to judge.
Rearing my head slowly, despite it feeling like my head was filled with candy floss, I looked around me. Around me the area was filled with fields of some kind of crop. Grain, maybe. I didn't really recognise it.
Lazily I got to my feet. If I ended up in some field, I'd surely like to know how I got there. Surely there was a logical explanation. True, what happened a few seconds ago was still blurry.
If I closed my eyes and could still feel the warm glow that filled the room I was in. Care was taken to ensure no-one else got caught in the experiment. Except maybe the cage of mice on the counter.
X-ray vision would have been nice, I thought. Preferably before the explosion so I could see what was happening on the other side of the wall. In my mind it was going to work. Alas, I was wrong again. Limited resources and funding has yet again proven to be the cause of most failed experiments. In my mind, at least.
Daisy fields instead of grain fields, maybe, I thought as I opened my eyes again. Oh, that would just be perfect. Considering how much I despised daisies. In every scenario it was something nice; tulips, orchids, poppies. Of all the flowers possible; Daisies?
Upset and aggravated I pressed the button on my wristwatch again. Safely back in the lab and grateful it was only a simulated environment.
